riverset employees take part in Habitat for Humanity's kids triathlon
riverset team members proudly volunteered their time to help out with the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh’s Kids Triathlon in South Park, PA on July 17th. riverset staff worked the registration tables, kept official time and helped out along the course. The credit union, which was also a silver sponsor of the event, participated as part of a yearlong volunteerism initiative.
Volunteers arrived at 6 AM to begin setup and lend a hand. The athletes each competed in their own age group – 7 to 9 and 10 to 12 years old. They showed spirit and determination as they swam, biked and ran their way through the course. The event was a huge success, with fantastic weather and great youth participation. The Kids Triathlon series is made up of two separate events. The second triathlon will be held on August 7th. For more information, visit pittsburghhabitat.org.
riverset takes part in Tunch Ilkin's Walk for the Homeless
riverset's team members and their families participated in Light of Life's annual "Tunch's Walk for the Homeless" at Station Square on Saturday, May 15th. The festivities were lead by former Steeler Tunch Ilkin.
The event was attended by more than 600 walkers and included food, prizes, fun and a 5-mile walk to benefit the Light of Life homeless shelter. riverset was a proud sponsor of the walk, which raised more than $46,000 for the mission, which operates on the North Side. riverset throws community celebration
riverset's South Side branch was buzzing with activity on Wednesday, April 7th and Thursday, April 8th as everyone enjoyed food, prizes, music and more. The celebration officially launched riverset's new community charter, which welcomes those living or working in Allegheny, Beaver and Butler counties.
The celebration was highlighted by BOB FM and Star 100.7 remotely broadcasting from the branch, and Blue Grotto Pizza providing a delicious lunch. Thank you to all those who stopped by and congratulations to all our prize winners!

Dancing Classrooms, developed by internationally acclaimed dancer, Pierre Dulaine, is a program which teaches students social development by using ballroom dancing as a tool. It truly shows young people how to treat one another. This program is presently in 13 cities throughout the country and is now available to fifth grade students at six Pittsburgh Public Elementary Schools. riverset is a proud sponsor of Dancing Classrooms Pittsburgh.
